Message from SAC Brown

We hope everyone has had a great summer. We know you have been, and remain, very busy in supporting our FBI. It was truly an amazing feat that the CAAA was able to organize a booth at the San Diego Fair only two weeks before it started! We salute Charmin Lindholm for coordinating our participation at the Fair and the promotion of our Child ID App, Safe Online Surfing Program, FBI careers, and so much more. This was truly amazing work and we could not have been more proud. Of course, one of the highlights at the Fair was the collaboration between the CAAA and San Diego Crime Stoppers. Together we fingerprinted nearly 200 children at the Fair. Such partnership exemplifies the shared values amongst organizations that makes our Nation so great. Please accept our sincerest gratitude to all who volunteered.

We had two separate Teen Academies this summer and your support to both was invaluable. Board members Judith Andry and Charmin Lindholm hosted two meals during which the teens were able to spend time meeting with Special Agents and other FBI employees to learn about their background, experiences, and education and what led them to the FBI. These one-day academies are an investment in our next generation of leaders and hopefully the next generation of FBI Special Agents and Professional Staff. I had the opportunity to speak to both sessions and was truly amazed at the caliber of these young people. It gives one great confidence about the future of our Nation.

Lastly, your partnership at our National Night Out booths exemplified the spirit of the CAAA to provide direct and positive connections between our communities and law enforcement. In spite of the extremely hot weather, you willingly dedicated your time and energy to further our mission. With your help, we connected with families, helped participants don FBI tactical gear and shared information about crime prevention and the mission of the FBI. Your participation in the National Night Out made a difference in our communities….so thank you very much.

Regards,
John
