On December 11th, 2017, several FBISDCAAA board, alumni members and FBI San Diego staff, provided a “holiday party” at the Monarch School for 25 fifth grade homeless students.
The children’s cries of joy and excitement were heartwarming, as they opened gifts from their “wish list”. Refreshments were also provided, as well as a holiday stocking filled with “goodies” for each student to take home and enjoy. In addition, fifty $25 target gift cards (generously contributed by FBISDCAAA members), were presented to the school for the students’ families.
FBISDCAAA is proud to support this annual holiday party for the students as one of our community outreach projects. The Monarch School provides children the educational skills and tools they need to overcome their odds of homelessness.
